Competition Terms and Conditions

 

These terms and conditions apply to the “Olympic Paints Inspiring Colour Competition”. 

This competition is open to the general public visiting the Homemakers Fair in Johannesburg on 28 Feb – 2 March 2025 or by visiting the Olympic Paints VibrAInt Colour Lab online at www.olympicpaints.co.za or on Social Media and share their favourite colour. One lucky winner will win a home makeover worth R20 000 in value.

The competition will run from 28 February 2025 – 30 April 2025 on the following platforms: 

1. VibrAInt Colour Lab on  https://olympicpaints.co.za/vibraint 
2. Olympic Paints Instagram – @olympicpaints
3. Olympic Paints South Africa Facebook – Olympic Paints 

By taking part in this promotion, you agree to and accept these terms and conditions. 

About this Document:

1. The ‘promoter’ of the competition is Olympic Paints (Pty) Ltd who is also referred to below as ‘us’, ‘we’, and ‘our’. 
2. The ‘participant’ is the qualifying individual who has chosen to participate in the competition. 
3. All information relating to this competition and any information we publish on any promotional material forms part of these terms and conditions. 

Qualifying for this Competition:

1. The competition is open to all social media followers on the Olympic Paints social media channels and the general public, and are over the age of 18 years old. 
2. This competition is not open to directors, partners, employees, agents, or consultants of the promoter or any other similarly associated individual to the Promoter.

How the Competition works:

1. To participate in the competition, all entrants must use the VibrAInt Colour Lab accessible via the link above, and fill in the competition entry form by submitting their name, email address and their favourite colour, or;
   1. The participant must share their favourite Olympic Paints colour post on Instagram or Facebook and tag @Olympicpaints. 
   2. The participant must comment on their favourite Olympic Paints colour post and tag their favourite SA style icon.
2. Multiple entries are allowed. 
3. All entries must be completed on or between the above dates to qualify. 
4. Any entries made before or after these dates will not be considered as an entry into the competition. 
5. One Winner will be randomly selected on the 5th of May 2025, based on their (qualifying) engagement on the aforementioned platform/s during the competition period. 

The Prize:

1. The prize is a home makeover worth R20 000 (twenty thousand South African Rand). 
   1. The home makeover constitutes new paint supplied by Olympic Paints for the Winner’s home to the maximum value of R20,000.
   2. The Prize cannot be exchanged for cash.
   3. Paint colour and finishes will be selected by the winner.
2.  The winner will be contacted either via email or via their comment on the relevant platforms mentioned on point 4, asking them to direct message their contact information. 
3. Should the winner not respond within 5 (five) days, an alternative winner will be chosen.
4. The winner may be required to verify their identity, and their corresponding social media page/s.
5. The Prize can only be delivered to an address within South Africa. 
6. By accepting the prize, the winner voluntarily assumes all risks and dangers related to.
7. The prize is non-transferrable.

 Terms and Conditions 

1. Any violation or attempt to violate any of the rules will result in immediate disqualification of the transgressor. 
2. The promoter reserves the right to revise, alter or terminate the competition with immediate effect. In such event, all entrants hereby waive any rights which they may have against Olympic Paints and acknowledge that they will have no recourse or claim of any nature against Olympic Paints.
3. If required as a result of legislation or other legal reasons, the promoter reserves the right to terminate this competition immediately. In the event of such termination, all participants agree to waive any rights that they may have in terms of this offer and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the promoter or its agents. 
4. Any personal data relating to the participants will be used in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 04 of 2013 (“POPI”) or comparable legislation or process of materially similar levels of protection. 
5. By submitting your email address the entrant agrees to receive email communication from the Promoter.
6. Data pulled for the purposes of the campaign and competition will be based on the completion of the competition as stated in the steps above.
7. The promoter does not take any responsibility and shall not be held liable for any loss, injury or damage of any nature caused as a result of the participants’ use of the abovementioned prize. 
8. Employees of Olympic Paints are not eligible to enter this competition.
9. By entering this competition, you agree to the terms and conditions set out in this document.
